Numbers carry different meanings depending on where you come from. Does it apply to a lotto winning number? Or combination numbers for lotto? Yes and no.
Any game based on chance is beyond anyone’s control, yet there are certain countries where they avoid some numbers like it’s a plague or something. For instance, some Italians are superstitious about Friday the 17th because rearranging XVII, the Roman numeral of 17, would create VIXI, which means “my life is over” (in Latin).
Then again, others see 17 as a powerful number. It represents transformation, if not a positive change. If you ask us, we won’t use the number 17 often whenever we think of lotto numbers for the next draw. Why? The number 17 has an even chance like the other numbers.
In other words, the number 17 has a one percent success rate like the other numbers. How? Do your lotto numbers prediction randomly.
We recalled one lotto number who didn’t meander the Internet for hours. He didn’t Google “lotto tips number combination”, but rather used the birth date of his family. The calendar dates worked for him, but not for the rest. It was a one-time thing. Before we give our suggestions, let us enumerate the lotto numbers that bettors shouldn’t play.
Consecutive lotto numbers. You haven’t played lotto if you would have chosen 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49. The lotto winning numbers are selected randomly. Don’t. Do. It.
Number multiples. How far can 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 bring you? Not much. This number multiple may turn you into a Math Rock Star, but not in lotto. Yes, the multiples 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42 are included as well.
Numbers that form a pretty pattern. This strategy can be argued, as some would attest that there might be some good luck behind it. One came to that conclusion after counting the number of Buddha illustrations inside a golden temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand. His tour guide didn’t tell him that the said temple is still a work in progress.
Or the number of Buddhist temples dedicated to the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac. The sum would denote completeness or so she thought. We wouldn’t recommend it unless you saw a sign. We’re not referring to a hit song by Ace of Base.
All low numbers (or all high numbers). This strategy originates from a popular card game, so don’t ever think about it. Why overanalyze it? Go to the casino.
Hot numbers (or cold numbers). Is there such a thing? Let us know. If you’re referring to a thermometer, then you’re pulling a leg. If it’s a combination that you have thought of after listening to the weather news, then you’ve been out for too long. Humidity doesn’t do good to anyone.
The number of steps of a stairway. Are you kidding? We’re not interested in the number of steps that lead to the summit of a brownish hill in Bohol. Or Mount Tapyas (in Coron). Yes, you can play with the sum. We might believe you if a sudden rainfall follows.
A combination of your favorite numbers. You become too superstitious! It’s not a good thing. You can’t be too paranoid about the number four, or if there’s a 4/F inside a building you’re about to enter. Or the apocalyptic number 666. (You should stop watching horror movies.) On the other hand, there’s no guarantee on the numbers of abundance.
Select lotto numbers that are less likely to be used. You have checked the past lotto results too often, such that you have memorized the numbers that were drawn frequently. Avoid those numbers. If you’re adamant, then choose one. Only one. And then go for the other numbers that are seldom drawn.
Form a lotto syndicate. They said that there would be strength in numbers. Let’s put it in another way: Your chances of winning increases after joining forces with like-minded individuals. You may set a budget for lotto and stick to it, but it wouldn’t be sensible in the long run. Don’t be too proud to reach out for others.
Decide when to buy a lotto ticket. You can’t join all the lotto draws. All the time. If you fancy your higher chances, then go for the draw with a lower probability. If you have to choose between Lotto 6/42 and Ultra Lotto 6/58, then you know which one.
If you want it, then prepare to lose. Few would win PCSO e-lotto on their first, or second, attempt. The feeling could be compared to what a lightning strike would be. If it happens near you. If not, then you would be tempted after many attempts. Do you throw in the towel? Don’t think about it long and hard.
Expect the unexpected. As Amy Grant puts it, Benjamin Franklin got what he wanted when lightning struck. Every 1’s a winner (or how Errol Brown would sing it).
Place your lotto bets today and who knows? you might be the next winner!
